I would like to second this issue and also add that my Sandisk Sansa-
Clip player worked correctly in 8.10, but was not recognized properly
after upgrading to 9.04. I had to make the .is_audio_player file
manually (found this after searching the web for an hour).

I'm assigning this to hal. Anyway that file is only needed when hal is
not able to detect that the device plugged is a mp3 player, so you
should give the information for your audio player in order to upstream
add it to hal.
