I'm closing this bug and marking it as Wontfix. The add-on CD has been
discontinued in favor of a complete installation disc. Any further
issues that arise should be filed as new bugs. Thank you for reporting

Ara, did you ever try this again. I've never tried installing with a
non-English language before but I would like to know if this is a
consistent problem. I can see not having the lang packs, but I don't see
why the Edubuntu packages themselves should come from the archive.

I installed Jaunty in Spanish, therefore, all my apt sources were set to
es.*
When I installed Edubuntu add-on, EVERY package was obtained from the
archive, rather than the CD.
