backported to stable, especially that the team working on GNOME is
pretty small and already overworked, this bug is a minor issue and no
other user complained about it before, it's low priority then and not
very likely to be

confirming on hardy, that works correctly in intrepid though so closing
the bug since it's already fixed in the current version
