Mmh, perhaps can you try it from the console (without graphical environment?) . When you are in the graphical environment, you can go to the console by typing CTRL + ALT + F6 . From that point, you can maybe try this : 1. Plug your USB key 2. ls /dev/sd* 3. sudo mkdir /media/USB 4. sudo mount -t
