This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

hi Leann,
i did what u suggested...i tried Try Ubuntu without any change to your
computer but i got the same...black video and nothing going on...then i
tried what u wrote removing quiet and splash. I saw something on video
going on...till when the laptop stopped, and i took the photo as u
asked.

computer option rather than the Install Ubuntu option. Also, do you
see any messages (particularly error messages) if you remove the 'quiet'
and 'splash' boot options - (hit F6 to modify the boot options). Would
