This is a very old bug, but I can confirm it in Maverick. The original
pygtkconsole (can be found here:
http://www.pygtk.org/pygtk2tutorial/examples/pygtkconsole.py ) works as
intended, i.e. starts an interactive PyGTK console.

Still present in Maverick. The solution works.
