Can't hear audio from 3GP video files: AMR audio support missing in ffmpeg
--
i don't heard the sound of a video with the extension 3gp
https://bugs.laun
In the sidebar totem-gstreamer reads codec: N/A, while totem-xine reads
Codec: AMR narrow band (ffmpeg)
Chanels: 0
Frequency: 15750 Hz
Bitrate: N/D
and nothing on stderr. Both play the video while none of them produce any sound.

I, too, experience this bug with intrepid x86. This is what totem says
on stderr:
** Message: don't know how to handle audio/AMR,
codec_data=(buffer)001164616d726e6f6b6984, rate=(int)8000,
channels=(int)1
** Message: Missing plugin: gstreamer|0.10|totem|Decoder Adaptive Multi Rate
(
I too have this issue: in every 3gp file I can hear no sound with totem (ubuntu
x86-64).
If I open the video with totem and choose properties I cannot see any audio
properties (these audio properties are in gray) but, obviously audio is present
in the file.

If you hear audio in other applications and with other video types then
this is likely to be due to a missing codec.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3gp outlines the anatomy of a 3gp file, and
from that you can see that a 3gp file may contain audio data in one of a
number of formats.
Can you please
