Is this bug still viewed as an issue, and is the Ubuntu bugs list the
right place to report it? As an end-user (not a developer) of Ubuntu
using fully updated 8.04 LTS in a small office network, it is very
frustrating that this bug is so severe that the popup alarm function of
Evolution 2.2.31

Yes. Killed or it plain exits (1) itself. It usually does so when it
pops up a reminder. The reminder shows very briefly and then goes away
when the process exits with a return status of 1.

You did not read my description closely enough. There is no crash.
Apport will not be invoked. The evolution-alarm-notifier process is
getting killed (SIGKILL) by something else.
Please reopen this bug to reflect that I have not failed to provide a
valid crash report where none is

I would most certainly if I could. How do you propose to

bugzilla.gnome.org too where the people writting the code will actually

I'm not sure how you attached gdb to the process to get the info you
posted (One day I'll get around to reading the rest of that man
page!)...but I will say that I have definitely noticed that the
evolution-alarm-notify does disappear quite often...and with no notice
whatsoever...very annoying.
