Thanks for bringing that up. After discussing the situation with Scott
Kitterman on IRC (and a bit of testing and research) the decision was
made to move ffmpeg from a Suggests to a Depends.

I noticed the part that says "-Suggest ffmpeg (needed for firewire
capture)". My understanding is that FFMPEG is actually mandatory for
rendering anything in Kdenlive and was wondering if this was supposed to
refer to DVgrab, which is optional, but required if firewir
