iwl3945 times out when
I have the exact same problem under 8.10 (iwl3945) and it times out
nearly every time, but randomly and seldom it connects without any
problem and is stable for hours:
(copied from above, only other numbers)

Bug is still in incomplete though the requested information has been
provided. I still have no network on the intel chip, tried shifting to
unsecured without luck, I then tried the card in Vista x86_64 to see if
it was broken however there I could get a connection and working
internet.

modinfo gives: iwl3945 version 1.2.26ks
The error is also present in 8.04 LTS as it can be found in both release
and updated till the day of the bug being filed.

Can you comment which version of the kernel you are running, 'cat
/proc/version_signature' . Also, which version of the iwl3945 driver
are you using - modinfo iwl3945 . Thanks.
