I'm having a similar problem on the released version of Intrepid/amd64,
but I'm using the proprietary AMD drivers on a Radeon HD470. Display
corruption seems to occur with any OpenGL application.
$ glxinfo

I can't install the ATI proprietary fglrx driver. So I'm using less-capable
drivers installed by default (Direct rendering supported).
I'm not sure whether this is relevant to my
