actually, OBEX FTP and OBEX PUSH are two different methods to access bluetooth enabled device. The last doesn't require pairing and just ask to accept or decline an item. Seems that 8.10 Intrepid doesn't have such ability out the box and I can't find (still but not totally) sjutable package

Yes, the programs have changed a lot. The Bluetooth Applet is now 1.8 in Kernel 2.6.27.7 with all new updates installed. The phone can be paired using Setup new device (right-clicking the bt icon). It's set to always visible. The is no option to automatically receive a file from the phone, but
