I am running maverick Meerkat linux kernal 2.6.35-24-generic on an asus PQ5 pro
mother board with an an intel core dou E8200
For ages I was getting what seemed like random freezes. I realize now that it
has to do with USB devices. If I disconnect a usb device I have to restart my
computer
I'm experiencing a similar problem in a laptop running Linux Mint 9. The
laptop is a Sony Vaio from the VGN series as well, and the usb device is
an external 320 GB hard drive. The freeze apparently happens when moving
large files in to the usb device. The folders and other stuff in the
desktop
Marking this as fixed per the previous comment. Thanks!
