You can still package formally if you want. :-) I was not aware you had
taken this on, and did it a while ago as I needed it for some work I was
doing.
The author has already incorporated my packaging into his builds. Debs
are available on the sourceforge site from release 0.9.18

I have MegaTunix packaged with working debs for the stable and testing
branches of it's current CVS.
I've tested (and am using it) on hardy intrepid.
I'm in the process of setting up a ppa for this unless there is a reason
not to.

Contacted upstream in regards to the current state of the user
documentation for inclusion in the man pages, so far upstream has been
unresponsive. Seeing as we are in feature freeze at the moment I don't
see any problem in allowing upstream more time to respond before putting
the final touches to

You should add #include string.h and #include cstdlib in src/thermistor.cpp
