That's not the bit I'm looking at. Each of your logs contain a backtrace
of the crash, and they show that the crashes are not the same.

In fact Derek, your log shows that your problem is completely unrelated
to the original bug experienced by amir. Please could you open a new bug
report for your problem.

The original reporters log clearly shows Xorg crashes with a segfault,
so it is correct and the reporter didn't just use it as a generic term.
And a backtrace of the crashing Xorg will be useful regardless of which
library you think may be responsible for the crash. The Xorg process
crashes and a
Oh. I see, the title claims an Xorg segfault - I believe that is incorrect. I
doubt the user actually got a "segfault" and is just using that as a generic
term for X erroring.
Although perhaps the KDE behaviour is different.

This crash is in the intelfb it seems, not X crashing - I'm skeptical
following the X debug instructions will do that much, since it'll just
confirm X lost its graphics driver and responded appropriately.
For example, one thing that happens is that X blinks a few times desperately
seeking a resol

I am having a similar issue, although my crashes seem to occur randomly
[probably due to some background process or something - it doesn't occur

I've returned to the on board intel x4500hd, and the crushes returned
and I have a back trace of the crush while opening k3b. at your request
