Please try the latest libasound2 package in my PPA, http://launchpad.net/~themuso/+archive and tell me if that resolves the issue. SOunds like this is caused by some patches I pulled from upstream alsa, but I'll revert them if they cause problems. Thanks. affects ubuntu/alsa-lib status incomple
