Now there is problem with NetworkManager applet, the net comes up fine when booted but this network-damager system show disconnected status and it or somebody else tells firefox to start in offline mode, which is really annoying. Also occasionally this stupids system wipes my resolv.conf in b

This issue is not occuring anymore, I'm not sure if I got it fixed by adding to /etc/modprobe.d/options file line : 'options forcedeth msi=0 msix=0' and running update-initramfs -u or by apt-get upgrade. The next boot after that update-initramfs was not able to get net on but after that

No, those are forcedeth devices, Asustek computer MCP55 Ethernet. And those works fine after i do that ifdown and up sequence,. However this thing 'NetworkManager Applet 0.7.0' does not have any clue about static adresses defined in /etc/netwok/interfaces, never actually used that, but i do re
