BenQ have implement hardware power switches for turn on/off wifi and 3G
modem modules for power management.
I think you should install an interface for the switch. you can find a
package named benqecif in BenQ source CD.
re-complier it with ubuntu-mobile kernel source tree and insert the
kernel
It should be a Marvell 8686 SDIO wifi card. I'm trying enabling module
marvell, libertas, libertas_sdio, lib80211 but the interface

hi TDFS,

I've create a full installable ubuntu mid version (8.04) for my Benq S6. I've
enebled CONFIG_LIBERTAS_SDIO, CONFIG_LIBERTAS and CONFIG_MMC into my kernel,
but nothing. My wifi and 3g don't works.

Actually I'm running the live. There should be no need to install software so
it should just run from live if the kernel is compiled with that module enabled.
Running the live I get no problems with the BT, but the 3G module is missing
too.

On my BenQ MID S6 there's a Marvell 8686 SDIO wifi card and to enable it it
should be necessary to enable CONFIG_LIBERTAS_SDIO, CONFIG_LIBERTAS and
CONFIG_MMC in kernel config.
The driver is present in kernel since version 2.6.24.
