Public bug reported: Binary package hint: systemsettings
When I go into System Settings -> Appearance -> Icons and click "Get New Themes", I get shown a list of the available themes. If you try to install an icon theme that is hosted on a web site like Mediafire, it waits a few seconds and then changes the "install" option to "uninstall" just as if it was installed...but it isn't. This would be absolutely maddening to new users who don't know any better. I assume that GHNS won't work with files hosted on a service like Mediafire. If that's the case, GHNS needs to alert you that it can't download the icon theme. Maybe it could also offer to pull up its KDE- look page in your web browser so that you can download it yourself. ** Affects: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- (Kubuntu Intrepid) Icon GHNS doesn't throw error when it can't d/l a theme https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275232 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
