Right, I am just bumping this bug in the hope someone wants to look into
it. It just requires one changes in the default gconf schema, the
behaviour is tried and tested in metacity and it would bring a huge
improvement for netbooks.

I would not call this purely a wishlist as it makes many dialogues
including many from the installer unusable at lower screen resolutions.
If you try using Ubuntu at 1024x600 or lower (it is apparent on the
eeepc 1000h which has the largest screens of the netbook category of
devices), many high pro

Resetting the status change, as this has already been identified as a
bug. Also I didn't understand why it has been set to Invalid. Commenting
on that would help me to understand that.

it is in /apps/compiz/plugins/move/allscreens/options/constrain_
y - set to 0 to allow free moving of the windows. This is a serious issue
considering the popularity of netbooks (like the eeepc from which I am typing
this) an the regression in compiz as compared to metacity in the default setup.
