Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: wammu

On pre-release live-cd alpha-6 of KUbuntu intrepid 8.10 there is a
problem with the dependencies of package wammu version 0.27-1

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo apt-get install wammu

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ wammu
Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/Wammu/Locales.py", line 31, in <module>
    import wx

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$

I don't know which package is needed, so I tried:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo apt-get install   python-wxversion python-wxtools
python-wxgtk2.8 python-wxgtk2.6
and now wammu works.
It is necessary to find out which package exactly is needed, and to add it to
the required packages of wammu.
