Public bug reported: Microphone does not work - full stop. No internal, just an external jack. Have tested microphone on Windows. I am running Hardy on a Thinkpad R61 (pretty much Intel (ICH8) everything). lspci reports it as: 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03)

Currently downloading Gutsy because I had it working in there, so this may be a regression bug. Stay tuned. Also downloading Intrepid Alpha 6 to test as well. Have tried installing the linux-backports-modules to no avail either (I think this is what worked in Gutsy), and it broke my Suspend.
