I have reasons to believe (NFS mounts are broken as well : #285013) that this is not the same bug as you are seeing and any your bug should be fixed in gutsy so I have de-duplicated those two bugs. Let me know if the above informations let you solve your issue. -- CIFS mounts in /etc/fstab not

Hi Frank, It started working again yesterday in Intrepid. The relevant (I think) updates are one or more of the following : sysv-rc_2.86.ds1-59ubuntu12_all.deb sysvinit-utils_2.86.ds1-59ubuntu12_amd64.deb Or more likely : initscripts_2.86.ds1-59ubuntu12_amd64.deb My guess is that it is broken

I'm not sure if this bug is a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sysvinit/+bug/278994. The reporter of that bug states the following: Before updating to intrepid my fstab entry : This obviously could mean an update of a release before Gutsy, but I I'm simply not sure.
