Binary package hint: totem
I have a Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T USB stick which works correctly with Me-
TV and mplayer.
I'm trying out the support in Totem in Intrepid and it doesn't appear to
be working. I have the following installed:
ii gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mpegdemux 0.10.15-1
GStreamer plugin for demuxing of MPEG2 streams
ii gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad 0.10.8-1
GStreamer plugins from the "bad" set
and copied the channels.conf from Me-TV to ~/.gstreamer0.10/dvb-
channels.conf
when I select the DVB option from the File menu it just tells me:
"Totem cannot play this type of media (Digital Television) because you
do not have the appropriate plugins to handle it."
There is a button which links to
http://www.gnome.org/projects/totem/#codecs which tells me to install
the fluendo mpeg demuxer and plugins-bad >0.10.6 and create the above
dvb-channels.conf.
Is there a way I can get more debugging out of this?
