I've found the source of the bug for the Pidgin Internet Messenger application (pidgin package): pidgin and pidgin-otr are (recomended) dependency of ubuntu-desktop; gnome-app-install fails to remove Pidgin Internet Messenger because pidgin is a dependency of pidgin-otr. I bet that we can fix the
