Hmm, this seems to have broken compilation of Adept. Not sure why it
would do that, possibly it's a change elsewhere picked up by this
compile.

Not by default reproducible if Gwenview is installed.
Got to image URL, in the menubar select View - View Mode - Embedded Image
Viewer
This report needs to be forwarded to http://bugs.kde.org
Workaround: install Gwenview and ensure it is used as the default image
viewer.
