Got rid of upstream bug due to last comment on it was in june of 2006. I
made comments on upstream bug report told them its fixed and to see why
i cant close upstream bugs

Nope. The Preferences dialogue has been reworked since, and the
"offending" option isn't even present anymore, so it's now impossible to
screw things up ;-)
