This bug was reported against the linux-meta package when it likely
should have been reported against the linux package instead. We are
automatically transitioning this to the linux kernel package so that the
I've found a workaround.
The problem happens when configuration is set respectively in /etc/sysctl.conf
and /etc/network/interface.
For some reason, it seems that the virtual interface is brought up *before* the
sysctl values are set. Which makes them ignored.
If you manually bring up the
