Public bug reported: In Hardy, the firmware for ipw2200 wireless cards was in linux-ubuntu-modules (i.e. in main). In Intrepid, the firmware is in linux-restricted-modules-common (i.e. in restricted).
Users who do not have restricted enabled, or don't have l-r-m-common will find themselves lacking wireless when they upgrade. Was the firmware incorrectly included in main in the first place? ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ipw2200 firmware moved to restricted https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/279669 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
