I had this problem with hotmail and after searching some forums I was able to
fix it.
+ Hotmail recognizes Firefox now. +++
You have to do the following in Firefox.
In the adress bar type: About:config
Accept the terms.
Then search for: USERAGENT

ping hotmail about this bug. fwiw, ... not that it helps but ... there
are enough replacements for hotmail around ... i would suggest to not
use it.
