[Bug 279890] Re: Transmission crashes: corrupted double-linked list

2014-07-01 Thread Matthew Williams
I was running into a similar issue, but was able to resolve it with a less drastic approach. I ran strace on transmission-daemon and it showed a stat of a torrent .part file just before the SIGSEGV. I move the associated .resume file out of tranmission/resume and transmission- daemon started

Same as Hanta, but I was able to get around it by only deleting ~/.config/transmission/resume. This was just after an upgrade from 10.04 to 10.10. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/279890

Today I had the same behaviour with the version included in ubuntu 10.10 (transmission 2.04). I don't know the reason of the error, I only delete some finished download files and folders, but I have done it before without errors. Finally the solution was remove the settings folder from my home:

Another bit of info: I think this may happen when Transmission is started with torrents it wants to save to a dir that doesn't exist. I save mine to an external drive that was unplugged at the time of the crashes. Previously, Transmission would just pause all existing torrents and added torrents
