Actually I've slightly changed the patch, and committed it to bzr anyway, so just do: * grab terminator from bzr (bzr branch lp:terminator) * apply the attached patch * run with ./terminator -d then do whatever steps are necessary to reproduce the error and hopefully it won't produce an

well, it was error produced but terminator was still open. When i reported the apport traces I didnt see it was still open. Neverthless it gives an annoying error popup. this happened when I did a Ctrl + Shift + E from a window which was running screen + irssi. Thanks. -- terminator crashed
