netbook with screen resolution of 1024 x 600 (wide screen.) Problem only

The Evolution team suggest to use "evolution --express" on netbooks.
However the express mode is not as usable as the full version, and we
can not take for granted that novice users know about it. Evolution have
worked perfectly on netbooks with Ubuntu in the recent versions, this
