Public bug reported:
I tried install on two different Biostar K8M800 mobo's. Southbridge is
VT8237R+. I tried the install disk with different HD's, monitors and
downloads of the install disk. I tried each of three cpu's, Sempron
le-1100, Athlon le-1600, and Athlon X2 4850e. The install and or boot
goes through the process and hangs on what looks to be the final screen.
The screen seems to be a bunch of vertical lines in the colors of the
ubuntu screen, medium brown, light brown and the orange cream color.
None of the different set ups will continue past this screen. I've yet
to get an install or boot from the disks. Sorry I couldn't use the
automatic reporting system but I couldn't get far enough. Ubuntu 8.04
lts loads boots and installs to these systems both from downloaded
burned iso's and alternate install disks.
Also on this reporting page the search function for package doesn't seem to
find Ubuntu 8.10, 8.10 or any close form so I chose I don't know to get the
info through.
