Yes it works for me too.
I would say the mount/unmount problem is something else.
In fact the camera is never "mounted" and you can't access it via Dolphin for
example.

as I wrote, I can import photos from the camera using Digikam.
There is an "Import" menu, where I found my camera and I was able to see and
import all the photos.

I have the same problem with Intrepid and different Canon cameras (IXUS
800 IS, IXUS 860 IS).
Is there another way to mount camera devices as a workaround ?
Not being able to unload my camera at all is really annoying.
