Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase
>From powertop: 20.3% ( 83.3) knotify4 : schedule_timeout (process_timeout) 17.6% ( 72.4) <interrupt> : [EMAIL PROTECTED]:0000:00:02.0 14.8% ( 60.7) kwin : schedule_timeout (process_timeout) 10.3% ( 42.3) firefox : futex_wait (hrtimer_wakeup) 9.3% ( 38.1) <interrupt> : extra timer interrupt 3.9% ( 16.0) <kernel IPI> : Rescheduling interrupts 3.9% ( 16.0) <kernel module> : usb_hcd_poll_rh_status (rh_timer_func) It looks like it's waking up at the same frequency that my screen is getting refreshed (60Hz), which is roughly in line with the interrupts on the intel Xorg driver. This is obviously bad for laptop power consumption. On Hardy, I had ~80 wakeups/second total at idle so this is quite a regression. ** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- powertop shows kwin generating lots of wakeups (intrepid, kde4) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283100 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
