Unfortunately I haven't anymore an external usb floppy to test with

laurent07, why have you put the status of this issue incomplete? Doesn't
incomplete status mean that it has not received a response, from the
submitter, to a request (see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Status)? I replied to
Sebastien request on 2008-10-15 as you can read above. No further
Sebastien, if I try to execute
mkfs.msdos -I /dev/sdb (or mkfs.msdos /dev/sdb) from normal user I receive
/dev/sdb: Permission denied
However, as I sayd in my previous post, I can normally write or delete
files inside my floppy through its mount point.
