Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mysql-query-browser

Summary:

The "Start Editing" button is frequently disabled when it shouldn't.
This behaviour is erroneous and different to what MySQL-Query-Browser
does in Windows.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Start MySQL-Query-Browser.
2. Perform a SELECT * query on a table that contains a primary key (requirement
for the 'Start Editing' button to be enabled).

Expected Results:

The 'Start Editing' button should be enabled.

Actual Results:

The 'Start Editing' button is disabled.

NOTES:

This problem (or a problem with identical symptoms) seems to have been
present on the Mandriva linux distribution around a year ago. There is a
related entry on the mysql bug tracking system. The problem seems to
stem from a libmysql upgrade or packaging. See:

http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=32121 (bug closed as the upstream provided
binaries work fine)
