This should be fixed with the recent 2.0.4 upload and I'm marking it
therefore as duplicate of bug 288178.

(virtualbox was previously installed)

I have the same with virtualbox-ose_2.0.2-dfsg-0ubuntu3_amd64.deb I was able to
continue the installation anyway,
Upgrade from 8.04 Kubuntu to 8.10 beta with Adept. Logs attached.
