Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

Hello! I've been trying to use some projectors with my laptop, and with Hardy,
it was really easy. I just had to plug in the VGA cable, press the Fn+F8 key
(the one that switches CRT/LCD) and that was it. The resolution stayed at
1280x800 in my laptop, and it was projected fine (I think with a 1024x768
resolution).
Now, I've installed Intrepid beta, and if I connect the cable to the same
projector, the system doesn't recognize it. Pressing Fn+F8 does nothing, and I
have to log out and back in. Then, the laptop screen is at 1024x768 and also
projected. This is very annoying, since it resizes everything and I have to
arrange my panels all over again. Then, when I disconnect the projector, I have
to log out again so that the screen goes back to 1280x800.
Is there some way to correct this, or make it behave like it did in 8.04?
Using a Dell Inspiron 1525.

Thanks in advance!
