all signs indicate that the culprit is flashplugin-nonfree. assigning
accordingly
since the issue is fixed in intrepid, marking as fix released
the same version of flashplugin (version 10) is available in hardy-backports,
for those still in 8.04 LTS

My mplayer version is the same one with the medibuntu repository, but I
just reported version from mplayer --version.
However, there is no problem if I open media file (mp3..) or media
playlist (.asx) directly in Firefox. It seems that my problem's related

To cause this problem
1. open any internet radio station using Firefox.
2. Stop playing the internet radio, either close tab or change pages, but DO
NOT CLOSE FIREFOX.
3. open Rhythmbox (other
The fact that the problem is solved in Intreprid Ibex does not mean that
is solved also in Hardy Heron, and the latter being with LTS, I think
someone with better knowledge about Ubuntu whereabouts than me should
take a look, at least.
