Public bug reported: LiveCD boot just hangs.
LiveCD (in Safe Graphics mode) gets as far as KDE splash screen and hangs. Install (with quiet & splash removed from boot options) displays "Starting Ubiquity"; then blank/black screen; then nothing. Gave it 10 minutes just in case! I'm trying to install on a Sony Vaio PCG-K215Z (which has an ATI Radeon 9200 graphics card). Fiesty was the last release that ran "out of the box". I got Gutsy working by installing an older driver. Hardy had pretty much the same issues as Intrepid. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Kubuntu (8.10-rc) hangs on boot - LiveCD & Install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/288614 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
