Bingo. There is a runaway shortcut to the F-Spot Photo Manager in
~/.local/share/applications/f-spot-import.desktop. Removing this fixed
the prompt. I don't know where the .desktop file came from... that is a
mystery, but not one related to this bug report.

Hi Sebastien, I entirely forgot to add those details, my apologies.
This is on Intrepid beta, using nautilus 2.24.1-0ubuntu1. This issue
does not affect a guest user or a newly created user. I upgraded from
Hardy to Intrepid, so this appears to be a migration/upgrade specific
issue of sorts.
