I'm using Discover in Lubuntu 18.10 and I don't see a way to "select all" nor "deselect all." Currently, the most efficient way to deselect many is to - click on a check mark in front of an update thereby deselecting it - arrow down to move to the next update - [Enter] to deselect that update -

I don't really have enough cruft to have a problem with unselecting everything, so I didn't think of this. The most efficient way to do this is to click on the first piece of cruft you want to remove, then use the keyboard (space to toggle, down arrow to move) to go through the rest of the list.
