I've found the icon folder:
/usr/share/icons/oxygen/22x22/status/
There are 4 icons about the volume:
audio-volume-high.png
audio-volume-low.png
audio-volume-medium.png
audio-volume-muted.png
These 4 icons are just in the 22x22 folder, so it's pixelated if with
use them for more than 22 pixels.
Top panel with a height of 52 pixels, a full transparency and a width of
all the screen ("Étendre" is ticked).

I did it:
- Update Ubuntu 8.04 to Ubuntu 8.10 rc
- Then, go to Système -> Préférences -> Apparence
- Choose Clearlooks theme and click on "Personnaliser" button
- In the "Icônes" tab, choose Oxygen

I didn't install oxygen icons by myself. It's the default icons set in
KDE4. I suppose it's in the kde-icons-oxygen package. I have some KDE
applications installed in Gnome, so oxygen icons are just in the choices
of Gnome display configuration.
