I did solve the magic suspend problem, turns out I had g-p-m set to
suspend if the lid is closed on battery, so please disregard that.

I've been poking around in the apt-get'ted source for the utility, but I
can't see anything wrong with the 'time remaining' calculation. As well,
when I unplug the AC I get reasonable discharge rates.
