Title:
Logitech
I have updated to 10.04 a while ago and the issue remains. The keyboard is not
recognised as such. General function does work. Volume up/down/mute also works.
F/Mode key does not.
Let me know if I can run some commands or tests for you. It might just be a
mapping or settings issue by now.
Ken
HAL has been deprecated in favour of devicekit. Can you check if this
bug is still present in Ubuntu 10.04 or later?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try
with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
Also
In 9.04 this bug is still valid. I will not move to 9.10 for a couple of
months, so I cannot answer the second part of the question.

I would like to confirm this. Logitech S510 on Ubuntu 8.10 64bit. The
general use works, but extra features don't. What can I do to help
resolve this?

Logitech mouse s510 not recognized in hal
Sorry for the confusion. Mouse and keyboard work ok but special
features don't work. Meanwhile I have switched to generic
international keyboard which solved some of the problems with sound
control.
Xorg.conf tells me that everything is now configured in Hal. Where do
these hal rules come from
Are you saying that only some features of the mouse don't work (ie, the
mouse is still mostly functional)?
