Public bug reported: lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 8.10 Release: 8.10
I have a sony vaio laptop, PCG-GRT816M with 1Gb ram. Since I upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10, the system freezes at power-on and power-off. When it is freezed, if i push the Enter key on the keyboard, the system continue to boot for a while, until it freezes again. To complete the boot process I have to press the Enter key at least 6 times (only once for the power- down process). I did not noticed anything strange into kernel log. It does not happen with the 2.6.24 kernel, which works perfectly. With the new kernel I also noticed that Xorg seems to use much more CPU resource than with the older kernel. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Kernel 2.6.27-7-generic freezes at power-on https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292602 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
