Hi Leann.
I've just upgraded to Karmic 9.10, but with no so much lucky.
now the soundcard sounds better, but still discontinued.
I'm going to give you a new report soon.
I know my laptop is quite old, but with kernel 2.4 and first versions of
2.6 it worked fine at all.

It looks like you tested with the Jaunty 9.04 release. Care to actually
test with the newer Karmic 9.10 Beta which contains a newer 2.6.31 based
kernel. Please let us know your results. Thanks!

The problem is still present: I'm not able to use the integrated soundcard on
my laptop.

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
