package privoxy
I compiled from source and privoxy did not work so I:
sudo apt-get install privoxy
and it died with this error:
Starting filtering proxy server: invoke-rc.d: initscript privoxy, action
start failed.
dpkg: error processing privoxy (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned
This problem was fixed for me by terminaling this:
sudo dpkg --purge privoxy sudo apt-get install privoxy
